TE KUITI SPORTS CLUB.

. ♦- A meeting of the above Club was held in the "Chronicle" office on Thursday evening last. Mr N. C. Matthew occupied the chair, and a large number of members were present. The programme for the forthcoming' meeting, which is to be held on March Ist, was drawn up, and was left in the hands of a sub-committee to finally draft and have printed and circulated. Several new names were added to the Committee. Mr W. Dement was appointed secretary, and Mr J. H. Trinnear assistant secretary.

Several championship events were included in the programme which now promises to be one of the finest in the North Island. Prize-money totalling £lls was allotted to the various events, and it is anticipated that several trophies will also be presented for various items. It is probable that several Caledonian events will be included in the programme, which will no doubt prove a big draw. At the close oc the meeting the chairman presented Mr R. Fitzpatrick, the retiring secretary, with a case of pipes. In making the presentation Mr Matthew remarked that Mr Fitzpatrick had done good work for the club during his term of office and they regretted his departure. Mr Fitzpatrick thanked the Committee for their present, and said he regretted having to give up office, but having left the town it was impossible for him to carry on the secretarial duties. The sub-committee will meet on Thursday evening, Ist December, at 7.30 o'clock.
