• TENNIS AT TURUA
A TOURNAMENT HELD
There was a large gathering at the opening day iof the Turua Tennis Club’s season, when the president, Mr C. Scott, declared the courts open for the coming season. The courts were in very good order and all those who had worked to get the courts into that condition were thanked by the president.
Many visitors were present from Kopu, Putaruru and Hamilton and of interest was the presence of Mr Robinson of Hamilton, a foundation member of the Turua club. A tournament was arranged. Afternoon tea was provided by the ladies and enthusiastic players 'continued with their games until it was dark.
