CROQUET CHALLENGE
' PAEROA DEFEATED
WAIHI TAKES VALLEY CUP ,The first match for the Thames Valley croquet challenge cup was played on the Paeroa lawns last week when the challengers, the Waihi club, defeated paeroa, the holders, 'by 92 points to 69.
The teams were:— Waihi: Mesdames Menhennet, Beck, Henderson and Taylor.
Paeroa: Mjesdames C. Smith, R. J. Kidd, Er Edwards and Poulter.
MEMBER ENTERTAINED
FAREWELLED BY PAEROA CLUB
Last week Mrs H. Hamilton was entertained by the members of the Paeroa Tfroquet Club prior to her departure for Auckland. The .president, Mrs W. A. C. Stewart, on behalf of the club members presented Mrs Hamilton with a parting gift.
