WIN FOR KEREPEHI B
PATETONGA B DEFEATED
Although the weather was almost too hot for tennis a very enjoyable day’s play resulted when Patetonga B tennis team visited Kerepehi on Saturday last to play the second game in the round for the season. Games were very evenly contest but the home B team finally won by nine games to six.

Ladies’ singles: Mrs S. Sole 9 defeated Mrs Wallace 3"? Miss A. Fisher 6 lost to M. Caldwell 7; Miss Z. Courtney 7 defeated J. Southey 5; Mrs Martelli 7 deefated C. Southey 3. Ladies’ doubles: Mrs Sole and MHss Fisher 7 defeated Mrs Wallace and Caldwell 5; Mrs Martelli and Miss Courtney 7 defeated Misses J. and C. Southey 5. Men’s singles: P. Hart 9 defeated J. Wallbutton, 9; P. Wallace 9 defeated D. Wallbutton 3; W. Sweeny 9 defeated S. Benney 5; J- Richardson 7 lost to B. Thompson 9; A. Henry 3 lost W. Fowler 9; T .Sweeney 3 lost to A. McLean 9.
Men’s doubles: Hart and Wallace 9 defeated Wallbutton and Wallbutton 2; Richardson and Sweeney 9 defeated Benney and Thompson 5; Sweeney and Henry 0 lost to Fowler and McLean 9.
