INDOOR BOWLS

■NGATEA’S FINAL NIGHT

PRESENTATION OF PRIZES

Last Wednesday evening was the final night for the Ngatea Indoor Bowling Club. Members’ wives were the guests of the evening, being in-' vited to join in the bowling and a very happy time was spent. The highlight of the evening was the turkey supper, which was served by the men. After the sumptuous repast, Mr L. E. Jackson, president of the club, expressed his pleasure at the attendance and the happy atmosphere which prevailed. Mr Jackson 'said that the club had seven very successful years of play. He then called on Selly Fisher, winner of the singles championship, to come forward and -receive his prize and also L. Elvin, the runner-up. Both suitably replied and brought the 1950 season to’ a close.
