A competition, tearing a cat out of newspaper, was won by Mrs Wheeler, of Waihi. A solo was sung by Mrs N. L. Lithgow and a competition, boys’ names beginning with A, was won by Mrs Lindsay. The singing circle sang “Dad’s Birthday Waltz” and “Little Brown Jug.”

M!rs Lindsay, the oldest member, lighted the candles, Mrs Noble blowing them out. Mrs Lithgow, federation president, cut the cake. Bouquets were presented to the president, secretary and treasurer and a dainty afternoon tea was served bringing an enjoyable afternoon to a close. The lucky seat was won by a Paeroa lady.
