WOMEN’S INSTITUTE
MEETING AT PURIRI BIRTHDAY PREPARATIONS The Puriii Women’s Institute recently held its monthly meeting which was very well attended, Mrs McLiver presiding and Mrs Beale and Mrs Harper acting as hostesses. The celebration of the institute’s birthday is to take place soon and plans were made for the gathering. Competition results were as follows:—
Best bloom, <Mrs Evans; knitted gloves, Mrs Larsen, 1; Mrs Len Rowe,
2; apron, Mrs Green, 1; Mirs Rowe, 2.
