MR THORN RETURNS
LETTER TO COUNCIL 1
MAY VISIT COROMANDEL
At the Coromandel County Council meeting 'last Wednesday the county clerk, Mr J. H. Lucas,
iretaid a tetter from Mr James Thorn, formerly Member of (Pariliafmeirt for Thames, who has recently returned from Canada via London. In the letter Mr Thom sent regards to the members of the eounty icouncil 'and said he land his family went all glad to be home again. He himself had had a wonderful experience in Ottawa at the United Council. He hoped at.a future date to he able to tell ithe people of Coromandel ipubiltely of some of his experiences abroad as High Commissioner to Canada. The matter of a (public welcome to Mr Thorn was left in Mr (Lucas’ hands 'to inform 'the Chairman 'when he heard again from (Mr Thom so that arrangements ' could be mttade for a suitable welcome.
