INVITATION ISSUED
VISIT TO MANGATARATA ADVICE ON SOIL EROSION Would the officers of the Hauraki Catchment Board be prepared to meet farmers in the Mangatarata district and give them information on soil conservation and erosion in so far as it affected that district, was the question asked in a letter from the Mangatarata branch of Federated Farmers placed before the May meting of the Hauraki Catchment Board. Mr W. A. Rushton moved that the matter be left with the members of the board representingthe Plains area to make the necessary ararngements for officers and members of the board to meet the Mangatarata settlers.
