WAIHI BOROUGH
TO BE INVESTIGATED LOCAL BODY COMMISSION “ The Commission has decided to hold an investigation into the affairs of the borough of Waihi between August 8 and August 12, but as yet no actual date has been fixed,” stated a letter from the Local Government Commission placed before the August meet* ing of the Thames Valley ElectricPower Board. The letter went on to state that it would be of assistance to the Commission if the chairman or a duly appointed representative of the board and its engineer could attend at a later stage of the investigation to place before the Commission any aspects which would assist in regard to the affairs of the Waihi borough. The meeting decided to await the further advice from the Local Government Commission.
