SALE OF POPPIES
TOTAL FOR DISTRICT £149/9/6 COLLECTED Figures giving the details of the sale of poppies by the Paeroa and Hauraki Returned Services’ Association are now to hand and show that a total of £149 9s 6d was collected this year, which is 6d more than the sum collected in 1947. Details of the amounts collected in the various districts are as follows; Paeroa, £73 12s 6d; Kerepehi, £25; Kadere and Patetonga, £l3 7s; Waitakaruru, £l3 ss; N’gatea, £l2 10s; Netherton, £8 17s; Karangahake, £2 18s.
