RACES AT PAEROA

FIELDS FOR SATURDAY PICNIC CLUB’S MEETING GOOD ACCEPTANCES CARDED The annual meeting of the Paeroa Picnic Racing Club will be held on the Paeroa racecourse on Saturday and provided the weather remains fine an excellent day’s sport should be enjoyed. Good entries have been received for all events and some keen racing should be witnessed. Handicaps for the major events are as follows: — 11.30 a.m.

Hikutaia Hack Handicap, of about 4 furlongs, for horses that have not rhced at a totalisator meeting during the twelve months, prior to entry. Lady riders only; minimum weight 8 st.:—

Monojay, 10.7; Little Goldie, 10.0; Araroa, 9.10; Paymaster, 9.7; Landcourt, 9.5; Advance Plane, 9.4; Valconia, 9.0; Jay Lad, 8.7; Celebrate, 8.5; Dancing Heather, 8.0. 11.50 a.m.

Komata Trot, of about U miles; saddle; hopples optional. For horses that have not raced at a totalisator meeting during the six months prior to entry. Minimum weight, 10 st.:— Lynn Win, limit; Modem Auto, limit; Parrish Boy, 12 yards behind; Inquisition, 24 yards; Star Guide, 24 yards; Frank Rolfe, 60 yards; Loyal Son, 84 yards. 12.15 p.m.

Flying Handicap, of about 4 furlongs; for horses that have not been placed first, second or third at a totalisator meeting and have not raced at a totalisator meeting during the six months prior to entry.
