Bird Catcher
A resident of Paeroa recently noticed some bird feathers protruding from the grill in the front of his car and on investigation he discovered that three birds had met their death, by being caught inside the grill. They were a thrush, a mina and a wax-eye. Apparently the birds had been swooping down towards the road when the car was moving and had been pushed through the bars of the grill by the force of their impact with the travelling vehicle.
