DANCING TEACHER’S GUESTS

PLEASANT FUNCTION HELD

A very pleasant evening was spent in St. George’s Hall supper room. Coromandel, recently when a number of guests were present on the invitation of Mrs Jacks to a final evening of dancings During the past months Mrs Jacks, with Miss Lillis as her pianist has taught a number of the old time dances and Scotch reels. On this occasion the eightsome reel, the “Dashing White Sergeant,” the ‘ Pi ide of Erin” waltz and the Hesitation waltz were all danced and proved very popular. Just before supper Mr J. Scott handed Mrs Jacks and Miss Lillis a gift—a token of appreciation for the time and trouble they had taken on these evenings. Both replied and said it had been a pleasure. A lovely supper was then served and just before the close, Mr O’Donnell, on behalf of those present thanked Mrs Jacks foi the lovely supper and the very happy evening.
