POUND WANTED
REQUEST FOR WHITIANGA COMPARISON OF FEES At the September meeting of the Coromandel County Council Cr. W. Hamilton asked if anything had. been done about a pound at Whitianga. He said it did not seem fair that the people in Coromandel had comparatively small fees to pay compared with Whitianga residents if stock were driven that distance to Coromandel pound. He suggested using the stock yards at the wharf where water was laid on and which were not being used. The matter was referred to the works committee for investigation.
