RACE DAY BUSES

LATE ARRIVAL OBJECTED TO OBSERVANCE OF TIME-TABLE At the September meeting of the Coromandel County Council the chairman, Mr E. Deeble, raised the question of the service car being held back in Thames on. race days, and not getting in with mails and papers till late at night. The practice caused inconvenience to many people, both those travelling from Auckland and having to - wait so many hours in Thames and also in regard to the mails. A brief discussion took place and a resolution was carried, “that the matter be brought to the notice of the Transport Department that the Road Services bus did not keep to its time-table on race days, and asking that the matter be looked into with a view to adhering to the usual timetable for passengers, mails and parcels on race days as on other days.”
