PURIRI STREAM
THAMES COUNTY PROBLEM INSPECTION BY ENGINEER An inspection by the Public Works Department engineer of the lower portion of the Puriri stream was advocated by the engineer, Mr S. Sadler, to the September meeting of the Thames County Council. He suggested that an opportunity would present itself when the engineer inspected the Kirikiri stream, and it was decided to try to make arrangements accordingly. An opportunity would be presented to see the congestion of a stream bed by the encroachment of willows, and in the other case of what happened when willows had been pulled.
