HAMILTON WEDDING
REEVE—BROOKS former paeroa girl The wedding of Miss Doreen Myrtle Brooks, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs A. Brooks., New Lynn, Auckland, and late of Paeroa, to Mr Herbert Fifield Reeve, eldest son of Mr and Mrs 0. Rte eve, of Waiotahi, O'potiki, took place in Hamilton on April 4 at ’St. Andrew’s. Presbyterian Church. The Rev. Gilbert officiated. The bride, who was given away by her father looked charming in a gown of figured lace over white satin made on classical lines, and wore a spray of orange blossom on her left shoulder. Her embroidered tulle veil was held in place with a coronet of orange blossom and she carried a shower bouquet of white zinnias and roses. The bridesmaids, Miss May Brooks, sister of the bride, and Miss Daphne Reeve, sister of the groom, wore frocks of turquoise matt crepe. They carried bouquets of red zinnias, gerberas and rambler roses, and wore circlets of the same flowers in their hair. The bride and bridesmaids each wore crystal beads. The best man was Mr Arnold Abbott, of Opotiki, and the groomsman was Mr Leslie Rteeve; Mr Norman Reeve, acted as usher. The reception was held at the Centreway Tea-Rooms; Mr H. P._ Toone acting, as toastmaster. The bride’s travelling suit was of rich peach coloured crepe and she wore brown accessories. Their future home will be in Hamilton.
