COMING TO THE REGENT
"THE AMAZING MR. ROOKLYN”
iWhat promises to be an outstanding vaudeville attraction headed by “•'The Amazing Mr Rooklyn” of London, and supported by seven Australian Vaudeville Specialties, is to take place at the Regent Theatre on Thursday next, May 9. Among the many Illusions to be presented, is a beautifully staged Hawaiian Song Scene, “The Birth of a Pearl,” and another unique item is “Stretching a Girl” in which a lady's
arms, legs, and neck are stretched beyond imagination, and usually has the audience convulsed with laughter. But probably the most amusing illusion is The Home of the Ghosts, in which a white handkerchief plays peculiar pranks in defiance of the laws of gravity. There is a strong supporting cast of Australian Vaudeville Specialties, of which more anon. Box Plans are now open at theatre and are already receiving marked attention.
