PAEROA LAWN TENNIS
ANNUAL MEETING OF CLUB ELECTION OF OFFICERS • The annual meeting of the Paeroa Lawn Tennis Club was held in the Labdur Party Rooms on Thursday night, the president, Mr H. Thorp, presiding over a fair attendance of members. The annual report and balance sheet showed that the club had had a very successful year and the finances were in a sound position. The election of officers- resulted:— Patron, Mr W. Marshall; president. Mr E. Lee; vice-presidents, Mr H. Walker; secretary, Mrs C. Handley; treasurer, Mrs- G. Masters; club captain, Mr H. R. Thorp; committee, M'es-dam-es A. Whisker, H. Walker and F. Griffiths and Messrs F. Thorp, W: O’Loughlin, V. Sherson, F. Griffiths and M. Scott; delegates to Thames Valley Lawn Tennis Association, Mrs C. Handley and Messrs E. Lee, H. Thorp and H. Walker; club hostess, Mrs G. Masters; auditor, Mr R. J. Clark. The date for the opening of the season was left to the committee to fix with a recommendation that the season open on Saturday, October 20.
