PIG SALE
LARGE YARDING IN PAEROA BUYERS FOR FAT AND STORES The New Zealand Loan ’and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report that at their fortnightly pig sale held at Paeroa on Monday there was a large number of pigs penned and a good sale resulted in almost a complete clearance. Export and buttermilk buyers were operating freely. They quote:— Choppers, from £3 15s to £5 15s; baconers, heavy from £5 to £5 7s, medium £4 12s to £4 19s, light £4 to £4 8s; porkers, heavy from. £3 10s to £3 17s, medium l £3 4s to £3 10s, light £2 14s to £2 18s; stores, large from £2 to £3; slips, front! 35s to £2 ss; weaners, good from l 30s to 345, others 23s to 28s; sows, close to profit from £4 to £6, with litters £5 to'£7; boars from Ign. to 6gns.
