Mr R. L. Wilson of Matatoki said the r Mongonui County Council had supported the union’s policy and the Farmers’ Union accordingly should stick to them.

Mi* L. E. Tye of Kerepeehi supported the remit. The Farmers’ Union should not let the Mongonui County Council down and. if possible should even assist them with finance.

Mr E. Jamieson of Matatoki, also spoke in support of the remit. He emphasised that he had always supported derating. The remit was carried unanimously.
