BONERS AT WAIHOU SALE

■PIG PRICES REMAIN FIRM

The Farmers’ Co-operative Auctioneering Company Limited report that at their Waihou stock sale held last Thursday a small entry of fat sheep met with a steady demand while a good ■offering of store lamhs was dull of sale. An extra heavy yarding of cattle came forward. Beef was yarded in good numbers and cattle of quality were in demand and sold freely. Boners which .were in full, supply also sold readily at full late rates. A full yarding of all classes of pigs came forward, the entries comprising mostly porkers and unfinished sorts. Prices remained firm at recent late rates. •Sheep.—Light fat hoggets, 24s 6d; heavy fat lambs, 24s to 28s 3d; light'er, 21s to 22s 3d; forward lambs, 16s to 17s; store lambs, 10s lid to 12s; fat ewes, 13s. Cattle.—Heavy Friesian cows, £7 to £8; medium fat cows, £5 ,15s to £6

Ibsjlight fat cows and heifers, £4 15s to £5 10s; heavy boner cows, £4 10s to £5 ss; medium, £3 IQs to £4 ss; store cows, £2 to £3; bulls, £4 to £7 12s 6d.
