BACONERS REALISE £4/14/-
GOOD SALE AT KOPU
There was a large yarding of cattle and pigs and a medium yarding of sheep at Messrs Dalgety' and Co’ssale held* at Kopu on Tuesday, March 30, all stock selling freely at rates fully up to outside centres. Choppers and baconers were keenly sought, one chopper making £6 ,13s while a pen of first'quality ibaconers realised £4 14s. A pen of quality maiden fat ewes sold under keen competition, making 23s 6d; store pigs_ were still wanted and sold freely within restricted limits.
Cattle. —Heavy fat cows, to £6 15s; lighter fai\ cows,. £5 15s to £6 2s 6d; light, £5 5s to £5 7s 6d; heavy boners, to £4 14s; lighter, £3 5s to £4 ss; aged and inferior, £1 15s to £2 7s 6d. Pigs.—Heavy choppers, to £6 13s; medium choppers, £4 10s to £5 15s; heavy baconers, to £4 14s; light baeoners, £3 7s to £3 15s; porkers, to £3 s3s; light porkers, to £2 15s; slips, 15s to 265; weaners, 2s 6d to Ils. Sheep.—Fat maiden ewes, 23s 6d.
