The “Pukekohe” Team.
Some spectators at the Peace Clip match on Saturday must have thought at times that they were viewing a match in the -South Island. Supporters of the holders did not barrack for 'Pukekohe, or even ’South Auckland, but foi* South Island. The fact was that there were a number of iSouth Island -players from a military camp in the “Pukekohe” team. —Morrinsville Star. Journal Goes Into Recess. Publication of the New Zealand Traveller, the monthly journal of the United Commercial Travellers, and Warehousemen’s Association, ceased with the issue of the June number. The shortage of paper and other difficulties arising from the war are responsible for this decision. The journal has enjoyed 20 years’ uninterrupted publication and the board of management expressed the hope that this will be resumed after the war.
