£2055 RAISED
ALL PURPOSES APPEAL PROGRESS OF CAMPAIGN FUNDS COLLECTED IN PAEROA During the month £7l 5s 0d was collected by the Paeroa District Patriotic Committee for the 1942 All Purposes Appeal making a total of £2055 11s 4d of a quota of £2760, reported the secretary, Mr R. S. Nicol, to the monthly meeting of the committee on Monday night.
“Included in the above figures are donations received in connection with the following: Ladies’ Patriotic Committee, proceeds card afternoons, etc., £5; Paeroa Labour Party, proceeds euchre tournament, £2 9s 6d; proceeds sale of cauliflowers and street stalls, £32i 11s 6d.
“Your committee wishes to express its appreciation to all who assisted in the above efforts. In particular it wishes to acknowledge Mr V. J. Leng’s kind donation of approximately 50 sacks of cauliflowers,” added the report.
