FAILED TO GIVE WAY
CAR ON HIS RIGHT HAND CASE IN PAEROA COURT For failing to give way to another* car approaching on his right Wong So Chu a Chinese fruiterer of Paeroa was fined 10s and. court costs 10s in the Paeroa Court on Monday by Mr W. H. Freeman, S.M. Mr R. S. Carden appeared for Wong So Chu and pleaded guilty. Constable J. L. Brown stated that on Saturday, May 16, Wong was driving along Willoughby street and while crossing the Thames road intersection he failed to observe a car belonging to Mr W. Marshall, of Paeroa, approaching on his right. Marshall’s car hit the lorry driven by Wong So Chu.
Mr Carden stated that his client was faced with a bill for the repair of the car and asked that the penalty be as light as possible. A fine of 10s was imposed.
