HOME GUARD

100 MEN DRILL AT NETHERTON

The Home Guard on the Hauraki Plains has now grown to a size which is indeed a credit to those responsible for its organisation. Every district has now a platoon formed as part of No. 5 (Hauraki) Battalion and parades are held every week. Parades for N.C.O’s. are also held at Ngatea each week. In Subsequent issues of the Gazette we propose publishing the names of those in the Home Guard , a different district each issue.
