PAEROA DEFEAT KEREPEEHI
MATCH PLAYED ON SATURDAY
In a Dixon Cup tennis match on Saturday the Paeroa Lawn Tennis Club defeated Kerepeehi at Paeroa by 10 games to three. Detailed results were as follow:
Ladies’ singles.—Miss V. Taylor beat Mrs W. Kidd, 7—2; Mrs R. Cleary beat Miss D. Booth, 7—2. Ladies’ doubles.—Miss Taylor and Mrs Cleary beat Mrs Kidd and. Mrs K. Menzies, 7—4; Mrs R. Harris and Mrs H. R. Thorp lost to Miss Booth and Miss Collins, 6—7.
Men’s singles.—A. Boulton lost to I. Carr, 6—7; H. Lee lost to G. Crisp,' 6—7; R. Cleary beat K. Menzies, 7-—4; F. Thorp beat W. Kidd, 7—l. ■
Men’s doubles. —Boulton and Cleary beat Carr and Crisp, 7—5; Lee and Thorp beat Menzies and Kidd, 7—6; J. Jensen and W. Richdale beat Potter and Conner, 7—3. Combined doubles. — Jensen and Mrs Harris beat Potter and-Mrs. Menzies, 7—6; Richdale and Mrs Thorp beat Connor and Miss Collins, 7—5.
