GOLDEN DAWN
REPORT OF MANAGER WORK DONE DURING PERIOD The mine manager of the Golden Dawn (Owharoa) reports as follows for the period ended November 11:— The drive on No. 5 reef from the winze below No. 3 level was extended to 21ft. The reef, which was from 3 to 4ift. wide, assayed from 7s 7d to £1 9s 6d a-ton. Work was then commenced on drive south from the winze, and same extended a further 4ft. (to 24ft.) with reef 7ft. wide and assaying at top £2 19s 2d and bottom £1 16s 2d a ton.
