DRUIDS’ LODGE
STAR OF PAEROA MEETING The fortnightly meeting of the Star of Paeroa Lodge of Druids was held in the Civic Hall on Monday evening. P.A. Bro. C. H. Pascoe presided over a holiday attendance. The Grand Lodge executive meeting reported the death of P.G.S. Bro. J. N. Grant, also that of a daughter of J.P.G.P. Bro. W. Gregory. The respect of the lodge was paid by the members standing in silence. A full report on the most serious eases of sickness was presented for report to Grand Lodge. Sickness claims were passed for payment, again proving the invaluable benefit resulting from membership of this well-established society. Applications from three members for clearance to other lodges were received, and will be available on next quarter night. Advice was received that the next Grand Lodge conference will be held in New Plymouth on March 14,.
1939. The lodge adjourned early to entertain the members of Loyal Jubilee Lodge of Oddfellows.
