THAMES VALLEY BREEDERS. MEETING OF CLUB. The Thames Valley Jersey Breeders Club met at Paeroa yesterday morning, Mr B. E. Veale presiding over a small attendance of members. Annual Meeting of Association. A donation of £2 2s was made to the Tauranga Jersey Breeders Club towards the expenses of entertaining the members of the N.Z. Jersey Cattle Breeders Association, following the annual meeting at Tauranga on June 2.7. As a remit for this meeting it was decided to recommend consideration of the question of a variation between the requirements under 305 and 365 day tests for heifers and mature cows. Mr H. H. Sutton pointed out that for the extra two months both heifers and mature cows were required to produce 25 lbs. of butterfat. He was of opinion this was not fair. The president, Mr W. Crimmins, and the secretary, Mr E. J. C. Townshend, were appointed to represent the club. A Bull Sale. The question of holding the annual pedigree bull sale was raised by the secretary who questioned whether it was justified this year in view of the past experience. Buyers held off and bought at later stock sales at greater prices. Members were adverse to dropping the sale but realised that it was not advisable this year, and it was agreed that members be circularised accordingly in order that they could make other arrangements for the disposal of their surplus. Annual Meeting. The date of the annual meeting was fixed as July 18. j
