OBITUARY.
MRS. C. H. VINCENT. A link with the very early days of Paeroa was broken on Monday evening by the death of Ellen Vincent, wife of Mr C. H. Vincent, of Paeroa, as she was returning home by car from a visit to friends at Pukekohe She was over 72 years of age and had not been in. very good health of late but her death from heart failure was very unexpected. With her friend, Mrs Bunting, she attended service oh Easter Sunday morning, the Rev. J. P. Cowie calling for them with his car. She was the youngest daughter of the late Mr David Snodgrass who was a baker in Auckland, at Punga Flat, Thames, and at Paeroa. The late Mrs Vincent was born in Auckland and was twelve years of age when she ar- * rived in Paeroa. She has resided here ever since. She married in 1892 and is survived by her husband and her six children, David, Lois, Esther and Charles of Paeroa, Mirs W. Jones, of Komata,' and Mrs T. Banks, of Tokaanu. Her brother, Mr D. Snodgrass, is a resident of Waikino.
