. —# LOYAL NGATEA LODGE. j FORTNIGHTLY MEETING. The Loyal Ngatea Lodge held its fortnightly meeting on Monday evening, Bro. E. Jackson, N.G., presiding over a good attendance of members, and a large number of visitors, including Bro. W. Gubb, P.D.G.M., of Tuakau; P.G. Bro. Mears, and 25 members of the Loyal Netherton Lodge. Four benefit members were initiated into the Order. It was reported that the Lodge Medical Officer (Dr. T. E. Miller) had offered a 10 per cent, reduction in his scale of charges. P.D.G.M. Bro. Gubb gave an interesting and instructive address on the Lodge ritual. P.G. Bro. L. Mears presented the lodge with a set of officers’ tables, and the thanks of the lodge were conveyed to him by Bro. Jackson, N.G. A social evening followed the business meeting. The 500 team frem the Loyal Netherton Lodge beat the Ngatea team in the Mears Shield Competition match.
