RIFLE SHOOTING.

PAEROA MINIATURE CLUB. KEEN TROPHY MATCH.' There was a large attendance of members on the rifle range in the local Drill Hall last night, when a very interesting and keen haidicap competition was fired for a rose bowl, the second trophy donated by Mr A. E. Pearson Ten shots and one optional sighter were fired, making the possible and limit up to which the handicap could be taken to be 100. . The trophy was won by A. A. Jenkinson, who obtained the limit—the only one to do so—he was last to shoot. R. I. Wells came second in the sweepstake prize and also registered the top score off the rifle. Three members whose totals were 98 were required to shoot off for third prize and resulted in H. A. Morrison gaining that position. Several new members shot for the first time and showed great promise. The following are the scores:—

NEXT WEEK’S MATCH. TROPHY DONATED BY LADY. The shooting arranged for next Tuesday night will be a handicap match for a handsome trophy, generously donated by a lady supporter. A record attendance is expected. -
