INTER-CLUB MATCH. TE AROHA BEATS PAEROA. On Saturday last an inter-club match was played against the Te Aroha Club. Twenty members visited the Paeroa links and .22 members of the Paeroa club played on the Te Aroha links. A four ball best ball match was played and resulted in a win for Te Aroha by 16 games to 3, while two games finished all square. The following are the results. Te Aroha players being mentioned first: Ladies’ Games. Seniors: Mrs Halligan and Miss Frear lost to Mrs Bray and Miss Gibb, 6 and 5; Mrs Smith and Mrs Willis lost to Miss Walmsley and Miss Tierney. 4 and 3; Mrs Kenny and Mrs Carwardine beat Miss L. Thorp and Miss Evans, 3 and 2; Mrs McGlashan and Mrs Meikle beat Mfd* Silcock and Miss M. Thorp, 6 and 5. Juniors: Mrs Bliss and Mrs Gaw beat Mrs Bain and Miss E. Vowles, 5 and 4; Mrs Wyllie and Mrs Dempster beat Miss C. Fleming and Miss Surrey. 4 and 3; Miss Bliss and Miss Kenny beat Mrs Shaw and Mrs Smith, 4 and 2; Mrs Clark and Mrs Frear beat Mrs Dale and Miss Dickson, 8 and 6; Mrs Mackie and Mrs Steedman beat Miss L. Real and Mrs W. Fathers, 9 and 8; Miss Cowley and Mrs Murphy beat Miss Edith Vowles and Miss Fulton, 8 and 7. Men’s Games. Seniors: Laver and Kenny beat Bray and Stewart, 4 and 3;> Crowley and McGlashan beat Tubman and Gorbey, 2 and 1; Cullen and Murphy beat Bartlett and Miller, 6 and 5; Wyllie and Arthur lost to Carden and Page, 5 and 4; Goddard and Steedman v. Kidd and Shaw, all square; McLeod and Bamfield v. Surrey and Dale, all square.

Fathers and Taylor, 8 and 6; Meikle and Hinton beat Clarke and Hedge, 6 and 4; Kemp and Kinniburgh beat Bockett and Bassett, 5 and 4. FIXTURES FOR SATURDAY. PAEROA LADIES’ CLUB. The fixtures for Saturday next will be the third round of the rose bowl competition, and the third round of the eclectic match. Players arrange their own partners.
