TRAGEDY AT THAMES.
HIKUTAIA MAN SUICIDES. AFTER ATTACKING GIRL. At about 8.30 p.m. on Monday, Daniel Sylvester Moloney, a carrier, of Hikutaia, who was known throughout the district, committed suicide after cutting the throat of a young woman, Ivy Charlotte Robinson, with whom, at one time, he had been living, but who had given him UP- . . The ( tragedy occurred in Mrs Robinson’s house, Beach Road, Thames, a young sister of Miss Robinson witnessing the attack, and Mrs Robinson being present when Moloney cut his own throat and died. . At the inquest, which was opened at Thames yesterday, it was shown that Moloney was not living with his wife and children. Since Miss Robinson had left him he had threatened her on several occasions and had been warned by the Police to keep away from her.
