Tennis.
The very inclement weather last Saturday afternoon interfered disastrously with the attendance at the meeting of the Huntly Tennis Club, held at the Tennis Pavilion. However, a few enthuiasts turned up, and a useful discussion was held. It was announced that new nets had been ordered, and should be here in time for next Saturday-. Members were requested to take in hand the clearing up of the courts, so that they might be in good order on the opening day, Saturday, on the 11th inst. Invitations have been sent out to member* of surrounding clubs, and given a fine day, a good afternoon’s tennis ought to result.
Already there are signs of a tennis revival here, several ladies and gentlemen having signified their intention of joining the Club this year, and there is every prospect of a successful season.
