Obituary

MRS J. W. WILSON. It is with great regret vve record the death of Mrs Wilson, wife of Mr J. W. Wilson, plumber, of this town. Although Mrs Wilson had been ailing for some time, it was not expected that death was at all imminent, and indeed for a few days previous to her death, she had been improving rather in health. It therefore came as a very great shock when on Saturday morning it was announced that Mrs Wilson had suddenly expired. The deceased lady was a very old resident of Huntly, and was very highly respected indeed, and great sympathy was exressed for her husband (Mr J. W. Wilson), son Mr D. Wilson of Waihi), and daugher (Mrs G. A. Shaw), in their sudden and sad bereavement. The funeral took place on Sunday last, the body being followed by a large number of friends. Bearers were provided by the local Masonic Lodge, of which Mr Wilson is an old and honoured member. The burial service was impressively read by the Rev. E. Swinerd. MRS R. T. HILL. Very general regret was expressd when it became known on Saturday evening last that Mrs Hill, wife of Mr R. T. Hill of Taupiri had passed away that afternoon. The deceased had not been ailing long, having become ill only on Monday afternoon last. Theillnes developed, however, very rapidly, and on Saturday afternoon she became unconscious, and later, died. Deceased was well-known and much respected round a Very large drstrict, and the sympahty of a very wide circle of friends goes out to her husband, Mr R. T. Hill, and her father and mother Mr and Mrs T. G. Smith. The funeral took place on Monday at Taupiri, the service being conducted by the Rev. J. L. A. Kay 11.
