SYDNEY, Dec. 8
’ Relations between Mr J. Curtin, the Fedeial Opposition Leader, ad Doctor Evatt, of the same party, are, according to the “Sydney Sun,” be'coining strained. Dr Evatt led a section oi the Labourites last week which aimed at'securing a yet further Budget concession from the Government. Mr Curtin, in the course ,of a statement yesterday, said that the Opposition regretted that they could Got secure, a larger measure of their policy. Nevertheless, they, had ; kept firmly in fiiirid the obligation. fo make Parliament workable. . , ; Dr Evatt, replying to' Air Curtin, said: j“I agree;that it is the duty of the present Parliament to become a workable institution. This means that Parliament 'itself should exert / the fullest control ’over ' the Government. It certainly- does not' mean that the : present Government should' bb allow•ed to continue in office.” 1 t .
