GRIFFITHS—McMULLAN.

’ St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church. Hokitika, was the scene of a pretty wedding recently, when Marjory Mc'Gowan, youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs H. J. McMullan, was united to Charles Elwvn Griffiths, youngest son of Mrs and the late Mr Griffiths of Runanga. Rev. K. Hadfield officiated. Miss Robinson presided at the organ. The bride, who entered the church on the. arm of her father, looked charming t in a frock of ivory satin and lace, trimi med with tiny buttons, her skirt falling j into a beautiful embroidered train, and I her long tulle veil held in.place with a i halo of pleated tulle and orange blos- ! soms. She carried a sheath of cream flowers. The bridesmaid, Miss Mina Moj Gowan, cousin of the bride > was frocked, | in a shell pink lace over taffeta, and ) she wore a topknot of velvet flowers I with her pink shoulder veil and carried i a bouquet of sweetpeas and carnations, j The bridegroom was attended by Mr i George Mason, of Ross. On leaving the church, the bride wa s presented with a good luck horse shoeby her nephew. Graliam Monk. The receptiion was held at Prestons I' Tea Rooms, where the usual toasts were honoured. Mrs McMullan received the guests wearing a petunia ensemble with i navy accessories and with a shoulder spray of stocks and maidenhair fern. She was assisted by Mrs Griffiths, whose frock was navy blue relieved with white, and she wore a shoulder spray of scarlet flowers. Later the happy couple left‘lncar for Christchurch, the bride travelling in a cyeleman frock, with seal hat and coat.
