WEDDING BELLS
FITZGERALD—MURPHY The wedding was celebrated at the Chlircih of the .Sacred Heart, Ilnnauga, on Saturday morning, of Moira Cecilia, only daughter of Mr and Mrs W. Murphy, of Runanga, and Richard John, elder son of Mr and Airs J. Fitzgerald, Hokitika. Rev. Father F. E. Kelly officiated and Aliss Alary Cawley was at tin, organ. Miss’- Moira Wotton, cousin of the bride, sang the .solos “Ave Maria” and “Just- for To-day.” The church had been tastefully dceorateyi by friends of the bride, with cream and petunia Spring flowers. The bride, who was escorted by her brother, Air George Alurpliv, wore a frock of magnolia, cut on princess lines, with raised shoulder line and fully-flared skirt. Her veil of em broidered tulle fell from a coronet of miniature lillies and she carried a sheaf of hvacinths and freesias.
As bridesmaid. Miss Kathleen Robertson, wore a frock of petunia velvet, pannelled, with cowl front- and buttoned down tlie back. She wore a cap of cangated flowers and carried a sheaf in matching tones. Also in attendance on the bride was tier niece, Miss Patricia. Murphy, who wore an early Victorian frock of cream spotted set over magnolia satin, a Dolly Varden hat to tone with the flowers, and carried a basket of flowers. Mr Thomas Fitzgerald, brother of the bridegroom, was best man.
The reception was held at Herb Moore’s tea rooms, where the guests were received by-the bride’s motlvr who wore a navv tailored costume, w : th' a fur stile, teal accessores and a shoulder snrav of violets. Mrs J Sullivan, of Weheka, aunt of the bridegroom, also assisted at the reception. Mv and Airs R. -T. Fitzgerald left by the express for 'jTimaru, tlie bride travelling in a navv wool .georgette frock, finished witTi an ornamental gold collar, navy hat and coat, and accessories to tone.
