ARAHURA FAT STOCK Sale.. W. Jeffries and Co.® report that at ■the usual fortnightly sale held at Arahura on Monday, August Bth, there was ah entry of 83 head of fat cattle, all ; of which could be classed as first class beef. The quality was excellent and the large attendance of butchers who competed keenly to the last pen made the sale a very spirited one. Houston and Co. report— At the usual fortnightly' sale yesterday there Twas. a total yarding of 85 bead of fat cattle, our entry consisting of 40 head, which were submitted to a large attendance of buyers. Practically tho whole of the yarding, comprised prime quality steers and heifers for which there was spirited competition, . the sale being a particularly gpod one. Heavy ox and heifer beef realised a little over 40/- per hundred, while medium weights sold up to 44/-. We sold as follows:—On account of J. G.
