The briliant colourful review included detachments of every regiment besides the mtrines, popular African Zouaves, mechanised army, and heavy and light artillery. The crowd were most delighted with the six-wheele tanks, which careered along the Champs Elysee at forty miles an hour.
It is officially estimated over a million were in the streets. Enthusiasm was unbounded.
