FIELD OF ELECTRO-PHYSICS (United Press Association —By Electric Telegraph-Copyright.) NEW YORK, July 10. The inventor, ' Nikola Tesla, who is the holder of seven hundred basic patents/ has celebrated bis seventyninth birthday by revealing seemingly incredible advances which he is making in the field of electro-physics. He said that he had completed studies which have ‘‘knocked the props” from under the • relativity theory of Einstein. . ■.* The famous inventor stated that he had measured the velocities of the cosmic ray from the star Antares. He found that it is fifty times greater than the speed of light. On the other hand, the relativity proponents, contend that the speed of light is the maximum speed in the physical universe. . • :

Mr Tesla also described two of bis electrical inventions. One is. an apparatus by which mechanical energy can be transmitted to any part, of the. terrestrial globe. He said that it- had many practical appliances, . such as that of providing a new and an unfailing means of communication, and also a safe means, of guarding.? ships lit sea .

The other invention he described ,as a new method and apparatus for producing direct current without a com„mutator, whereby aeroplanes and even lorries and railways, could be operated by electric power from a disconnected station.
