PATIENTS ESCAPE
MENTAL HOSPITAL CASES. FIVE MEN AT LARGE DUNEDIN, ,lulv 9: Advice was received by the police this evening, that five patients had escaped at 5 p m. from the Seacliff Mental Hospital. The missing persons arc all young men between the ages of 19 and 24. They are all of slim or of medium build, and one is lame in one leg. They were wearing bark-grey den:ltas at tlie time they escaped, and most of them were shod only in black flippers. Their clothing is marked with a triangle. , .
None of the men is regarded as dangerous; It is understood that they made their escape while' out exercising, and it is thought that they will make their -way south'. Parties were out searching for them to-night, but no trace of them had been found at a late hour,
