CHURCH DISPUTE

PARISH DECLARED VACANT (Per Press l.ssociation— Copyright } AUCKLAND, May 2. The living of the parish of St. Andrew’s, Cambridge, was declared vacant as from non yesterday, when the Bishop of Waikato (Rev. C. A. Cherrington) took control. A Commission of Inquiry sat in Cambridge in November fast, as a result of which the Bishop declared the living of St. Andrew's ’’ vacant as from April 30. The Rev. G. G. Bell issued a statement to the parishioners that he intends to continue as vioar and as far as possible act as such just as if the Bishopi had no action.
