CHRISTCHURCH, December 1

The committee of the New. Brighton Trotting Club has decided to abandon the win totalise tor machine and revert to what was virtually the. old method of betting at its meeting on December 9.

There will be only cue pool. In races of eight or less starters two dividends will be declared on the same percentage as existed prior to the advent of the win and place system.

■ In races where there are nine or more starters, three dividends will be paid in the ratio of 70, 20 and 10 per cent. It is beleved other prominent trotting clubs will follow suit, the reason being that spectators are growing dissatisfied with the present system.
