INJURIES PROVE FATAL

PALMERSTON N., November 29N
Following .serious injuries, sustained when knocked down by a dar on Tuesday evening,; the death occurred at Palmerston North Hospital of Cliv ford Wilson, aged 73 years, a resident of Manakau. The accident occurred near Manakau, Wilson suffering concussion, a compound fracture of the right log, and dislocation of the left ankle.
MOUNTAIN CLIMB
TIMARU, November 30.
Miss Lilian Familton, of Oainaru, accompanied by guides Bowie and Souter, has made a traverse of the three peaks of Mount Cook in seventeen hours. Good weather was experienced. Miss Familton is believed to be the first woman to make the trip from the Hooker Glacier on the west side to the Tasman. Glacier on the east side.
N.Z. FERTILISER SUBSIDY
WELLINGTON, November 30.
The subsidy granted by the Government on fertilisers will expire at the end of December, but the Minister of Agriculture has agreed to meet the interested parties on December 7 to discuss its renewal. .
