An innovation and a sign of the times was announced at St.. Paul’s Church. Dovonport, when the Minister, the Rev. W. Lawson Marsh, announced that a free bus, to hold over twenty passengers, would run from Stanley Point to convey people to church services. The days when people walked miles and miles to church twice on Sunday seemed to have gone and did not apply to the modern worshipper, and it was hoped that the new arrangement would appeal to those in whose interests it was made.
